About David Williams

My formal education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Public & Non-profit Management from the University of Maine, and a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) from James Madison University.  I am a twenty-year member of the International City and County Managers Association (ICMA); have been a Certified Manager in Maine; and belong currently to both the Massachusetts Municipal Association (MMA) and the Florida City/County Managers Association (FCCMA).

I am a public sector professional with more than 20 years experience in a broad range of disciplines.  The majority of those years has been in executive and financial management supporting entities with budgets ranging from $25 million to over $200 million.  I led procurement matters for 15 years, and served 12 years as Human Resources Director.  My experience is broad and my successes, thankfully, have been many.  I can send you my full resume and references on request.  Prior to working in municipal government, I worked or completed internships at the federal, state, and county levels, as well as worked as a policy and budget analyst in the private sector for several years.

My dream through all of those roles was to gain enough broad experience, and expertise, to be comfortable managing my own consulting firm with the goal of providing high quality analysis and support.  I am now ‘open for business’ and expanding my team of associates and partners.  My mission in this firm is to look at your problems from an outside, objective viewpoint, and provide outcomes that are simple to understand and implement, as well as provide solutions that maximize your limited resources.  I am committed to helping you do more, better, using less resources.
